Psychotropic medication in prisons

A study of psychotropic medication prescribing patterns in English prisons was published in Health Services and Delivery Research in the NIHR Journals Library. 

The findings suggest that psychotropic medicines are prescribed frequently in prisons, and for a wider range of indications than those for which they are currently recommended. HM Prisons across Norfolk, Waveney and Suffolk were participating in the study.The below full report contains a page of plain English summary.
