The purpose of this student (Masters in Clinical Education) project was to explore physiotherapists’ education and learning experiences
for their role in Accident and Emergency /Urgent Care Centres or
equivalent settings within the East of England.. Four Emergency Care Physiotherapists undertaking education
and learning for their role participated in 1hr face-to-face, audio recorded
interview with the researcher. Undertaking education and learning is perceived in a positive light and
ECPs are motivated to do this. ECPs felt empowered for their role by knowledge
gained from the active involvement in a range of educative and learning
activities. Feelings of disempowerment occur when barriers obstruct the ability
of ECPs to learn. |
