Research Capability Funding

The Research Office administers Research Capability Funding (RCF) on behalf of the Norfolk and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs).

RCF is awarded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) to research active NHS organisations to enable them to maintain research capacity and capability.

Would it help you if you could employ a Research Associate to support the development of your next grant application to the NIHR?

2018/19 applications are now open for RCF funding to develop research proposals that align with identified areas of local need with national relevance.

How to apply: read the RCF application guidance and complete the application form.

Deadline: 5pm, Monday 29th October 2018.

Submit applications to: SNCCG.ResearchDevelopment@nhs.net.

Outcome: applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by 30th November 2018.

RCF funded evidence summaries

As part of the RCF award, recipients are required to produce an briefing summarising the current evidence which can be used by NHS commissioning staff to inform their decision making.

The summaries are presented in a one page poster style and a four-six page summary. They are published on our website and via social media. Summaries can be accessed here.
